The source of the river is where it originated from

Where pebbles get caught in a swirling river current.
Rapids are areas along the river where the river flow becomes uneven.
A waterfal is a sudden drop in the rivers course
Waterfalls form when the softer rock gets worn away by the river which leaves a drop in the rivers course. As the water falls over the lip, more rock is eroded by hydraulic action, solution and abrasion. The undercut will eventually collapse causing the waterfall to retreat upstream.e.g. Niagara Falls
On the inner bend the water flows slowly so deposition occurs. Over-time a small bend of material builds up, called a slip-off slope. The water flows faster on the outer bend causing erosion deepening the channel, resulting in the formation of a steep-sided river cliff.Meanders found in the lower course of the river.
