    I believe the answer is A...
    No I thought the answer was A too because A-T, C-G but its not, my book and my teacher both stated the answer as E.

    Because the template strand is going in the 5' -> 3' direction, you must replicate it in the opposite direction. Starting at the 3' end you would end up with a 5'->3' sequence of TGCAAT. That is why the answer is E
