Question:
What are the basics of Lymphatic Circulation
Answer:
When there is an infection the closest lymph node begins the draining process. Some of the pathogens come in the afferent lympathic vessel where they are met by the Bcell and Tcells (B=lymphoid follicle). Dendritic cells communicate with Tcells who relay to B Cells about the infection. Bcells have various different receptors so not all will react. As the infection goes through the layers the DEFENSES INCREASE so that it can fight off the infection before it gets to the efferent pathway. Medullary Sinus contains all the Bcells and macrophages (resonant to the tissues but also found in the lymphoid tissues) FIGURE 1.10 pg.18
