When does an election have to be held according to the constitution?
Answer:
At least once in every 5 years the Prime Minister may ask the Governor General to call an earlier elections. But if a majority of the NTs vote against a major government decision, the party in power is defeated. The prime Minister resigns and a new election is usually held.
