Free Flashcard From AP Lit & Comp: Writing technique
Question:
What are some things that you might normally do when writing essays for school assignments, but that you should NOT do when writing the AP essays?
Answer:
Do NOT worry about a title, unless it adds to your essay (so "How [topic] does [whatever]" is not useful, but "Clever Pun That Includes Irony And Induces the Reader to See the Essay In a New Light" is).
Do NOT worry about counting words.
Do NOT bother re-copying your first drafts; crossing out words, adding carets (^), and arrows to move sentences are fine.
