Gustavus Adolphus was king of Sweden from 1611 to 1632, when he died in battle. he was responsible for leading Sweden through the Thirty Years War and made many important domestic reforms that turned Sweden into a dominant power in the region. he became king when e was 17 and was a very capable rule from the beginning. he was very well rounded, and highly educated so that he was able to effectively manage affairs of state and lead soldiers.
