Classical conditioning Learning by association of a neutral stimulus with a stimulus that causes a response. Pavlov made this type of learning famous. He discovered that a neutral stimulus, such as a bell, can become paired with an unconditioned stimulus, like food, to produce a conditioned response, salivation. Hopefully this flashcard has not become paired with sleep.
