Question: What was the effect of darkness on the rate of photosynthesis and on the reduction of DPIP?
Answer: darkness stops photosynthesistherefore no electrons are excited so DPIP has no electrons to accept and it stays blue instead of turning clear. SO the % transmittance does NOT increase in the dark.
