1. HYPOTHESIS : always start by stating "My hypothesis is ....." and then predict what will happen if you vary the condition to be tested. For example: My hypothesis is that if I increase the amount of light shining on a tube of chloroplasts, then the rate of photosynthesis will increase."2. Dependent variable: What is being measured and HOW is it being measured.3. Independent variable: What is being manipulated and HOW is it being changed?4. Control group: a group that does not receive the variable so that you can compare to show that your results are due to the factor being tested.5. list at least three things you are going to hold constant for every group.
